Spring Break has finally arrived . . .
While I do have plans to visit the Turning Stone Casino on Sunday night through Monday, that isn't really enjoyment for me. I honestly have to say whether its poker or slot machines, I just don't have patience for any of it anymore. Besides we all know the end result...guilt in the end. We blow money that we could have used for something else...in my case, could have and should have saved! But, its a way out of this flipping town for a night. The plan, which never transpires no matter how much I think about it, is to get the $40 in promotional chips, let 'em ride as far as they go and just relax. If that means sitting in my hotel room watching cable TV for hours on end, so be it. For me, that whole experience is something different than what's been going on the last 10 weeks of school. I still might sneak out all by my little self. Rent a car for the day and just drive. Where? I have no idea. Perhaps the back roads of Upstate New York to enjoy this Spring weather. There are some natural falls in Ithaca that I've always wanted to see, as I'm told they are beautiful. There are some caves in PA. Things that I've always wanted to do, so why not now? At the later part of my Spring Break, I have agreed to visit my sponsor's brother near NYC. In all honesty, I just don't want to go. It's that sponsor, sponsee relationship thing that I keep talking about that I haven't done anything about. I've come to the conclusion that my sponsor does not listen . For instance, I ask him on Tuesday to call an order in for a large pizza for the Men's meeting 'cus in the past there has been only a few select of us at meetings. Instead, he orders a full sheet pizza . He does things the way he wants things done. Of course I look like I'm in the wrong because we had an attendance of over 20 people at the meeting. His nagging of my attendance of meetings is annoying. He just doesn't understand what I do every day while I'm in school. While talking about...
