Weather patterns have been weird, we didn't get much...at all. so i made up my mind and vowed to conquer the task of changing out said tires this weekend whilst visiting family in massachusetts for easter (which, btw, was lovely). it is important to tell you at this juncture that the closest dealership (i have to go to dealerships only, lest i void my warranty - yes, even for tires) is TWO HOURS away. thus, i can't just hop on over there. so i make an event out of it. saturday morning would be the perfect chance to get the tire thing handled (and also get that pesky service light taken care of) while also having a chance to visit the two-story target that calls my name when i make it to the "city." so anyway, i was moderately stoked about the trip. i get to the dealership at 10:40 (only 10 minutes late, which, for me, is amazing - and yes, i do realize this will be a problem when i have a "real" job again) and dropped my car off in exchange for a loaner so i could partake in material bliss rather than wait around. the mall (and target) is all of 2 miles away. score! i actually chose this particular type of car because of this very feature. you get brand new cars to drive around while you get services done...for "free" (free is obviously in quotes since my warranty was no small ordeal). so i take my snazzy ride (and my mom) for a spin to the mall. i get a call at 2:30 that my car is done - but that they don't care when i come back, so long as it's before 5. word. in that 2.5 hours i was able to test out Temptu at Sephora - a pretty incredible at home airbrush makeup kit (which i will find a way to and then i returned the car at 4:30. no one was around, so a random sales guy told me to just leave the car parked outside and go talk to the receptionist to get keys for my own car (and pay the $400 balance/alignment fee - seriously?!) which i do. and then i leave. blissful - because i have accomplished so much. ok, not really - but i was happy - and...
